IDEAS

This Instagram is fun, but I wish I could make it something more "official" like how Post Malone has extraposty, etc. I'd be open to a rebrand, clean up any memes or stuff that doesn't fit the brand, change content to be less personalized and then follow a strategy moving forward that aligns with yours
01
Clipping reels. I'm getting pretty damn good at it and hope to have an ear for the songs people want to hear. Usually I just go with what I hear and love enough to share, but I've also learned enough to know what's going to get a lot of clicks and what won't.
02
Merch support - Help promote your official merch and then maybe have some collabs with artists that are considered as options for your future merch collections. I am an artist, but not on the level of some of the people you already work with. That said, I think you're missing a big market with a few simple merch items that will have mass appeal for fans who aren't going to wear psychedelic type designs.

Featured Items
Use this area to highlight recent blog posts, showcase standout projects, or to feature particular items and services that will make an impression on website visitors. Change the title and text to your own content, or replace with a different element.

Artist Spotlights
Opportunity to highlight different artists, whether they be guys in the band or other people in the scene. Even if you did one a month, that would get you a year of featured artists. Know you love supporting your friends and other musicians. This could be a cool idea to expand upon that with links to their music, concerts, etc.

Item Title
Wellbeing is a part of everyone's life, but I don't think it gets discussed much in the concert scene. Renewal is a nice example of how you've tied health/wellness/fitness into an overall event. What if you provided more of this content through a website with tips from pros, maybe Ally would want to feature some topics, tips for staying healthy at a show, hydrating, etc. I work in this field so I think it would be super easy to inspire others through music to take better care of themselves and others.

River City Classic
This one is just a BIG IDEA that I had to get out there just in case you read all this. Originally the River City Classic was a 5k that my parents started in GR and it eventually became known by the bigger name "Relay for Life". In having the rapids come back to the Grand River and because we both have a son named River, I love the idea of bringing back the River City Classic with a music focus. You could still have a health/charity component, but also make it a 1-2 day festival in GR and make a portion of it a music competition. It could be SO cool and with the new amphitheater and lots of public space at Riverside park, it could be pretty easy in theory. I already know all the people at the City and corporate sponsors who'd get behind it, but it needs a face :)

Billy Strings experience
Your site is awesome, but obviously it focuses on the now like promoting concerts, albums, merch. Billybase is a great site, but its really more for the serious fan. What if there was something in between, that was like a "experience" Billy Strings website with more visual components, some archives of reels and shows, sharing of different show photos, reviews of the shows, etc.

New Fans
Getting started guide for new fans. Where to start, top shows, can't miss performances, etc.
Serious Fans
Show reviews, song clips, highlights of the show, photos, etc. Can link to Billybase for more
Playlist Archives
I started this, but can do so much better. Featured playlists, nugs links, people want this!
Community
Right now the community exists in so many places. This could create a place where people go for consistent, reliable info.

What Sets Us Apart
Born in the "lock key" or Oregon Trail generation (1982) which means I'm a bit millennial and a bit grunge gen x. I remember times before cell phones and computers, but also was young enough to use them as soon as I was old enough to need one. Now adays, things are different. Younger kids glued to their phones think new ideas and merch that gives nod to the 80's and 90's is 100% original. Staying ahead of the trends, seeing them happen, and knowing what might come next is a skill I've learned to have.

I also know ALL of your music. I didn't find you up in TC where I probably wouldn't have been ready to listen, but I did find your music in time to save and change my life. Maybe someday you'll make up that GR NYE covid cancellation show, haha... but that was meant in my head to be my first. Instead it wasn't until you came back to Michigan in 2022. After that, I got hooked on the feeling, dropped the bottle and trusting in the promises that come next. Listening to the signs. Ok hearing no... just want to know.
